In 2018, we've developed an exclusive new line of sustainable packaging – made from Sugarcane. With experts warning of global paper shortages in the face of increased demand for paper there couldn’t be a better time to move away cutting down trees to produce disposable coffee cups.
An estimated 20 million trees are cut down every year to produce disposable paper coffee cups. The habitat loss from one 16 ounce paper coffee cup with a sleeve is estimated to be 0.09 square meters.
About 1 million traditional paper coffee cups per minute go to landfill because of their unsuitability for recycling. In Ireland alone, it is estimated that 2 million single use cups make their way to landfill every day. There must be a better way and we think we've found it.
